Blinkist: Book Summaries Daily App Reviews

I love the idea and use it everyday but pls fix the audio issues. For each chapter I have to press play again (on the 2nd swipe screen, does not work on the main screen). Autoplay does not work. Once Audio works perfectly, this is a 5 star app!

Im a premium user and I would like this things to be improved: - Rating and credibility of the book. I dont know if I want to listen to the book if it has low rating on Amazon. - Audio play is buggy sometimes: doesnt start, turns off when the phone screen goes off. I need to download audio file and closing/reopening the app to listen it without bugs

Its more fulfilling to make the time to read book jackets or bestseller lists or reviews or anything, rather than commit to supporting business practices that spring subscription services on users without saying so in the promo/copy. Shame. I like moviespoilers dot com so this seemed interesting. Now it seems less than forthright.

Everything is great about this app except that my app on ipad pro 12.1 screen is just keep crashing or freezing. Hopefully it gets fixed n i will buy the membership then. I was gonna buy then after using it for 30 mins i faced so many bugs that i changed my mind to not buy the membership yet. Send notification when its fixed. Thanks

Downloaded the app and paid for a premium subscription, but stopped using it soon after due to crashes. I soon forgot about it. Today, a year later, I was charged another annual fee of $80 with absolutely no warning. It is reasonable to expect a warning before an annual subscription is renewed. That practice combined with the no refund policy says it all.

If you keep a busy schedule and appreciate summaries of great non-fiction books, this app is for PERFECT. Great user-interface, ability to download audio & send to Kindle efforlessly if youre a Premium member. While Im a new subscriber (week 1), off to a GR8 start! Consider this a boiled down version of AudioTech (another great summary service).

First audio didnt play consistently. Sometimes it would play, sometimes it categorically refused to. Now audio disappeared as if its not even an option. Please fix and Ill happily update rating to 5.

I really love the app and its pricing of $5-7 is attractive but having to pay for an entire year upfront is just plain wrong. My biggest concern with the app is that I may stop getting value from it in a couple of months and I dont want to pay for the entire year. The pricing model follows that of gyms where they charge you an outrageous amount for an entire year hoping that youll just stop coming after a few weeks. Free cash! I really want to become a paying customer but unless the billing is changed to monthly payments (even if this means slightly more expensive), I cant justify it.

I really like the content, but these crashes drives me crazy. I get em every 10 minutes when I trying to highlight any quote. Btw, UX of your app is bad guys, find a designer to improve usability.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and audio books on other apps and it lets me lock my phone or exit the app and still listen to my audio but with this app you cannot do that which makes it very inconvenient.

Blinkist is an ingenious company. We all know that knowledge is power but in our day and age its not just what you know but how quickly you can learn. Blinkist provides a means to assimilate information quickly by getting to the point and giving you the major takeaways of hundreds of incredible works. Its a major timesaver and Im a big fan!

I read close to 100 books a year and this app has allowed me to save time and take concentrated doses of awesome daily. Thank you!

The so called blinks are exactly that, its like blinking through a book without reading the valuable content. The coverage of the books (some of which I have read the entire book) is at best minimal. You cant shortcut a valuable book and the pricing for just reading brief summary(s) is too much. Provide value and then charge the customers. I am rating for the purpose of the app not the functionality.

The service is well worth it but the app is poorly written. The old version used to be good but current version keeps hanging the audio. Also audio controls such as previous 30 seconds do not appear on the locked screen as in Amazon Audible.

Love this app!

Im writing this on my phone because it keeps crashing on my iPad. Its not free so use some of that money to keep it stable. Btw, great app when it works.

Finally a way I can read books quickly and get just what I need from them!

This app saves a lot of time in understanding Books. It takes a whole book and looks for the important points and summarizes these. A big timesaver.
