So far I’ve listened to and read a few books. Very interesting topics, but the books offer absolutely zero content!They’re all hollow, filled with references to other books and studies, but lack real-life techniques, concrete examples, and effective applications. Perhaps the mistake of cheating by reading a book in 30 minutes costs you the most important content of the book: the stuff that actually matters and works.

So far I’m not really getting captured by Blinkist . First off, why did I have to pay twice ? That did not set me off in the right direction. Secondly , I’m listening and the topics seem interesting enough , but I’m either re reading because the sentence aren’t making sense or I find the information pretty basic . Interested in getting my money back

At initial subscription choices this app only gives me choices of monthly or quarterly (3 months) subscription. Has the yearly subscription been deleted?

This is a very sad excuse of a learning service. What a joke. I’m embarrassed for the organization named Blinkist.

I paid 49 dollars for 3 months for pro but I can’t access most of the books. What gives?!

I just signed up and was required to pay twice. I don’t know why. And I just put login information in. But the app will not open my account. What is going on?

I canceled my trial within the time period allotted, deleted the app, and then months later was charged a 1 year subscription. I canceled my trial because of all the AI voices- I don’t enjoy listening to robots.

My apple subscriptions shows that I am subscribed but I cannot access my content. I would not recommend this app!

Staying Social is important, in a World where are time is so limited. Enjoyable information.

Really love this app. The synopses are a bit short though.

It’s a whatever app sort of fine for what it does I guess. The woke ‘empower women’ ads are getting annoying as apparently everyone is doing that. Stupid and has nothing to do with anything and there’s often just so much wokness in the apps themselves now to where the focus seems to be mostly pushing nonsense rather than making the app better.

This app is pretty good. I love the shorts. I look at them every day. That’s my favorite feature. Each screen has a small amount of text that is highlighted karaoke style so that you can follow along with the audio simultaneously reading and listening. It’s great for people with ADHD because it helps them focus. Like on instagram reels. That alone is a great way to stop doom scrolling. However, the rest of the app fails to do the same thing , and I’ll admit it’s hard to just listen or just read. I (along with a lot of other people I’m sure) would love this app and stick with it if it had a karaoke style highlight feature, that highlights the text simultaneously with the audio on all of its material. What’s also great is you can make the text big enough so it’s small chunks of text on the screen instead of an entire page if you want. There are good reasons why people dopamine scroll on instagram and TikTok. To the developers of Blinkist If you want to replace those mind numbing activities with a similar experience in Blinkist this would likely do the trick.If you want ideas for added benefits you could use avatars that you can watch talk to you as the words pop up on the screen. Lots of you tube videos and instagram posts go this route nowadays. Keeps us ADHDrs engaged

Doesn’t matter if you have the checkbox disabled for notification of new features. They send them anyway.

I paid for an annual subscription but it is still not working despite contacting them for help! Do not subscribe!!!!

The only reason I pay for Blinkist Pro is for the audio versions, but for whatever reason they always pause on their own. I have an iPhone 16 Pro Max with AirPods Pro 2 and use many different audio apps, yet this is the only app that does this. I can’t describe how annoying it is to be forced to continually press play over and over and over again. I’ve waited and waited and waited for them to patch it, but it’s been months and it’s still doing it. Will be canceling my subscription, far too aggravating.

Great, timely intro to the AI possibilities now & in future. Almost everything can be faked including Science data for papers, election results & fake election voices, articles, non-transparent opinions & facts. AI is not policing itself well, if at all. Blinkist includes many examples of dupes with ghastly results. Creative works can be usurped with no credit or monetization for the author. If, for example, a poet writes a very compelling work, AI can use it without crediting the original poet. This is one of the egregious actions with far reaching negative results. Buyer be Really Aware of Fake Everything, basically. A very sad conclusion. 2/28/25

They push one-sided, biased, political views on highly complex conflicts and the present them categorically like "Discover the truth about..." without leaving space for alternative views or reflection, quite the opposite of what you expect a learning and reading platform to do. Unacceptable

That’s me! This Blink taught me that ii have an advantage even though I prefer a subtle approach to people instead of being the bubbly life of the party in the ballroom handing out business cards that May end up in the recycle bin. Follow up is an area I need to work on and that requires personal organization, another challenge for me. Thank you!

I like the concept and I’m trying to use it consistently. I have a premium membership a don’t enjoy that every time I open the app - even after my iPhone’s screen shuts down— I get this promotional offer to sign up for Pro. I wish there was a way to opt out. It’s distracting and annoying. I don’t want Pro and won’t sign up just because you remind me multiple times a day.

Ad claims info on Jeff Bezo reading list of five books. Nothing was available. If ad was misleading, what else is not true?

Five stars because I use this app all the time, satisfies my craving for knowledge on various subjects. I love the effort the narrators put into summarizing the content, and relating it. Fantastic job to all the UI developers! The convenience of browsing categories is perfect when surveying specific views on topics. I love comparing the books I’ve read already to their summaries, and (mostly) agreeing with the narrators. However, when I want to recall a book title that I listen to or find a specific point in a series I already completed, and I go to “my library”- every single time my momentum is blocked by the “updating library” loader. It takes between two and five minutes for the loader to go away, and I can’t access what’s behind it while it’s loading. Please allow me to browse while it’s loading, I’m begging you. I’ve updated the app, tried different Wi-Fi networks, and it’s every time the app is reopened. It’s a small inconvenience, but I know you guys can fix this!

I bought the app, thinking it would be useful and informative. I did not realize that I would quickly grow weary of summaries of works I would either love or hate. I occasionally look at it to see if I want to try again, but I cannot bring myself to. And I can't get my money back, so it will sit on my screen as a reminder to cancel renewal at the end of the year.

I paid for premium and everything is still locked and won’t let me do anything. Waste of time.

This app is so refreshing! I use the free version and even then it’s amazing! My advice if you have money subscribe! Best money you’ll ever spend! And it has shorts which are so uplifting to read, there were five free shorts at the beginning but I guess it’s only for the first day. I wish they’d have a free short every day.

this summary talks about home insurance, trip around the world, etc. as examples. but back when Marcus aurelius was there before 200AD, There was nothing like insurance and trip around the world for a common man. so not sure where this guy is coming up with those concepts and those examples. hate it for a blink summary to put in their own interpretations of an original book.

Paid $139 and can not figure out how to read the books. Only see the print in three word columns.

Recently, after the update for the iPad, it now has a blank space at the bottom of the app which was wasn’t there before meaning the app doesn’t cover the entirety of the iPad screen.

I could only find one single book summary that I was interested i. Sapiens. Nothing else. For 140 a year, I don’t understand what this app does

I have really enjoyed listening to Blinks since becoming a member. The app, however, refuses to cooperate at times. Recently the problems have reached a point where I cannot recommend the app at all, and can only use it with difficulty. To name a couple issues, UI elements that would let me skip 15s forward in back are generally not responsive. Lately, when I go to my library a get some kind of interstitial notification that reads “Updating your library.” The only way I have found to get rid of this is to restart my phone. As I said, I have enjoyed using the service, but since I mainly want to use it from my phone I probably will not be renewing unless this situation improves.

The app is adequate but be prepared to pay if you take the free trail. I only signed up to try this app due to the trail and it stated a reminder would be sent out before it billed full price. It did not. I guess your reminder is the CC charge they hit you with. Don’t do business with folks like this. Shady business practices.

It’s been almost a month since I paid for their subscription and they have not applied it to my account. They do not answer their emails, no word from them. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.

This unknown company expects you to throw down $499 without having ever even used the service before. What a joke. At least offer a trial period BEFORE expecting $500. The entitlement from companies these days…

I love this app and benefit greatly by having access to so much knowledge in a short period. I look forward to using it daily at the gym. There’s two issues that keep catching my attention though. 1) the back up button is unreliable. Sometimes it doesn’t work at all and other times it lets me back up one 15 sec click, but never lets me do it more than that one time. 2) when an book finishes, there’s no pause and it goes straight into playing the next book and doesn’t give me time to mark as finished. Other than that, I love this app and service!

Great learning tomo

So many self help books can be summarized into two pages so I appreciate this app doing that. Tho I do think the recommendation section can be better… I use ChatGPT to get book recommendations to my specific questions then look up that book on this app

I-love-Blinkist! Moms took me to the library when I was a little dude and I’ve never stopped reading. But, there are so many books and so little time to read these days! Blinkist allows me to never stop reading, growing, evolving, etc. The app is well designed and I love the quality of the summaries. Their content curation is excellent.

Subscribed for a year. I enjoyed the summaries. But managing the queue in the app makes it very difficult to use. I canceled and am hoping they fix the app.

While I was investigating to see if I wanted this app, they charged me $139.99 for a subscription for one year. Then they gave me a chance to cancel for NEXT year, still charging me $139.99 for the first year. I finally an address for their support website, where they say I can cancel by sending them an email as long as I do it promptly.
